Good morning! I am so excited to share this quilt with you - it is one of my favorite recent finishes!
I made this Firecrackers Quilt as part of the Fat Quarter Shop's blog hop to celebrate the release of their new pattern! This is a great pattern for a confident beginner/intermediate quilter! It uses 2 jelly rolls and background fabric, and is completed by strip piecing, and then using the Creative Grids 30 degree triangle ruler to create your blocks!
I had fun playing with the combinations in my strips, and then the layout of my final blocks. I used April Rosenthal's Meadow Bloom collection with Moda Bella White as my background.
I quilted my quilt with diagonal straight lines, about 1/2" apart.
The Fat Quarter Shop has created a video to show you how to piece your blocks and square them up - so helpful!
You can buy your own quilt kit featuring Prarie by Corey Yoder from the Fat Quarter Shop! And don't forget your backing!
