Good morning! Ok, now that you have sashed the blocks, it's time to assemble! You will start by sashing the last blocks for each row in a different way. Much like we did last week, these blocks will be assembled the same, but you will use cornerstones the same color as sashing so they just look like regular sashing. Cut your sashing colors like you did last week, and sew 8 blocks this way. You can also just cut your lower sashing piece longer if you don't want to mess with cornerstones.
Then, for your last row, just sew the sashing to the right side of 9 blocks. We will do the lower sashing after assembly.
Ok, now you will be sewing 8 rows of 7 sashed blocks together. At the end of these rows, sew one of the blocks you just made with the sashing color cornerstone.
Sew all of the blocks for the bottom row that just have the side sashing into a row.
Press all rows well.
Sew rows together, pinning at the cornerstones/sashing.
Measure your quilt top, and cut sashing/border for the top and bottom - sew to the top and bottom. Measure again and cut sashing for the left side - sew. Press well!
You are done! Now you baste, quilt and bind as desired. I am stuck at this step waiting for batting to arrive, so it will be a while before I have further updates, but please send me pictures or tag it on social media!
