Isn't it a law of physics that all house projects have to go much slower than anticipated? Just be glad you didn't anticipate this speed - because then think how slow it'd be!

Stephanie

Poor thing - believe me I know the kitchen woes!

Blech! Remodeling is no fun.... but it'll be great in the end, right? Right.

Karen

Isn't it funny how it always takes longer than you think? (Okay, maybe "funny" isn't the right word) Hang in there - it will be so worth it in the end.

Em

Yeah! Progress is progress! It's gonna be so great when it's done. Jon and I will come visit when it's finished.... :)

Katherine

Progress in any project moves on its own time schedule. Just keep telling yourself, "It's going to be beautiful, it's going to be great, it's going to be fantastic...." It will become your new mantra. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Contractor Time is a whole other dimension from regular, person-who-must-live-in-the-house time. I think they are issued special watches and everything. You will forget some of the pain after the kitchen is all done and beautiful, but I know it takes a long time to get to that point. In the meantime, you are allowed to buy as much yarn as you like, and hopefully you are enjoying many nice meals out, without having to clean up!
